3K & Pre-K Admissions
Below are the application open, close, and offer release dates for each of the admissions processes. These dates are for students who are applying during the 2024-2025 school year for admission in the 2025-2026 school year.
Wednesday, January 15, 2025: 3-K and Pre-K Applications Open
Friday, February 28, 2025: 3-K and Pre-K Applications Close
Tuesday, May 13, 2025: Pre-K Offer Release
Tuesday, May 20, 2025: 3-K Offer Release
Please note: These dates are subject to change. Any changes will be announced and communicated directly to families through the DOE website.
Apply to free, full-day 3-K programs the year your child turns 3
Apply to Pre-K programs the year your child turns 4.
There is a Pre-K seat for every 4-year-old NYC resident.

Attention Pre-K Families
The kindergarten application opens on Tuesday, December 10, 2024!
If your child was born in 2019 and lives in New York City, they are eligible to attend kindergarten in fall 2024. Apply by January 24, 2025. Families will be able to apply to kindergarten Gifted and Talented (G&T) programs on the same general kindergarten application. All families who apply by the deadline will receive a kindergarten offer in late March.
